The undiscovered Pandora

Nikhil Dev | December 22, 2006 | 4:18 pm

I am still sure that there are lot more people who dont know what pandora.com actually is. I have heard about this site about an year back and was truly amazed at the way these people organize the music. Basically the way Pandora works is:

it allows you to search for a particular artist of a genre of music and fetches the tracks from its huge database at 128 kbps. It then offers you a way to vote for the song that its playing. You can give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Based on your feedback, Pandora gets more and more accurate by time and tries playing only the kinda music that you want it to play.

Believe me, it has a really huge collection of music and the training feature is so damn accurate. I have trained my account over time and now I never have to carry my music all the time. All that I need is an internet connection.

There are other features in it like, you can share a music station that you have created with a friend by sending it to them by an email. The Pandora Community lets you check out other listener’s profiles and find shared stations built on multiple users’ likes and dislikes. If you’re a social network lover, the new community features could be a great way to interact with your fellow music-lovers and discover new favorite songs and artists.

So simply log on to Pandora.com, create your profile and explore the ocean of good music.
