Microsoft makes virtual PC free

Nikhil Dev | July 19, 2006 | 11:23 am

From the first time that I got to know of this product, I was so excited about it that it used to be the first thing that I would install on my computer. For people who do not have an idea of how it works, Microsoft Virtual PC creates a virtual environment for you to run Operating systems with various configurations. One ecample that I can give is if I want to see the performance of a software on a sytem that had 32 megs of ram, priorly I had to physically build a system with that specs. Virtual PC allows you to create an environment with the OS of your choice and the several other cool features like the ability to not save a session, rolling back changes, and beyond imaginations. Now if Microsoft has made this product free, it is definitely a steal for the others. If you want to test it I would say that it is one of those safest products to test. It can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=6D58729D-DFA8-40BF-AFAF-20BCB7F01CD1&displaylang=en

For people who still dont have an idea of what I am talking about, it is something similar to VMWARE but with much more flexibility. If you stil dont have an idea, move that ass off the chair for sometime and Google for it.
