We are now in a world wherein you dont have to build application right from the scratch. There are several communities what work on something called Open Source. Which stand for Software who’s source is open to anyone who wants work on its production and development or improvement. The best part about such softwares is that they are free to download and also have really good update release. Some of the best examples that have taken over the IT industry by storm are Apache, PHP, Python, MySql, PostGre, SQLite, and many many more. The best place to look for open source in my view is SF.net. I have been in this community since about 2 years now and this can be compared to no one else. Simply the master.
