Personally I have felt that this is like the best replacement for the Run box. I am so used to using the terminal in Linux that even when I am in Windows, I use the run a lot even for simple tasks. Launchy is something that has helped me keep up the habit.

It is very very very effecient on memory consumption and the most handy tool according to me.
