The beginning of lazy days

Nikhil Dev | June 26, 2008 | 3:28 pm

The monsoon didnt start at the time when it was supposed to. The last few days have been nice and shiny but since yesterday its gloomy. there is no sign rain though. I think we are goin to have a water crisis this year. The weather is not allowing me to work actively. I mean this is the time when you would like to site back at home and sip on some whiskey while watching TV. And here I am on a super tight schedule, working and at the same time going to the DJ school in the evening. Got a really busy day coming ahead tmrw. I think I am gonna go to the gym in a couple of mins cos I’ve started to feel a lil sleepy. Another 1 hr down the evening, I am going to crash for sure.

I am thinking of taking some good photos of my DJ school once Piyush sir comes. Will post them online then.

Gyula’s Disaster

Nikhil Dev | June 24, 2008 | 3:58 pm

I am blogging really late about this. Just today I have connect my digicam to see what all I have taken and totally forgot. Found some of the images that Gyula has written on his blog about. Although I though the image that he put up there was ok, I thought there was another one that I thought looked better.

This is his post http://mirrracle.blogspot.com/2008/06/scarface-movie-in-3-scenes.html

These are the images that I have taken.

Moral of the story - Dont drink and attempt to Pee somewhere in a dark street.

Looks like life is not worth living for love

Nikhil Dev | June 18, 2008 | 6:46 pm

How does it feel when you love someone so very much that you think only about her when you are drunk, suddenly starts ignoring you. As if you dint exist and not important anymore. Like it really doesn’t matter if you are alive or dead. These things are something always on my mind. When the only one I ever loved so much treats me like the most useless shit. I mean where has all that affection gone. I agree I was an assole sometimes but that was reasons that I am she knows and I can justify. But why is it that without no reason this sudden change happens.

I still remember Manish once telling me. That someone had told him that there is nothing called love but just lust. The fact is that people make these conclusion after experience. If not, then why do you have so many guys thinking the same. Thats cos we’ve been through shit and we know how it feels. Dont ever say that we have changed. We’ve said the same thing centuries and would still stick to the same.

Maybe I was overexpectant and maybe just too stupid and lost in love to not get the point early on. I took the fall and it hurts really bad. This is something that cannot feel.

Anyway, I think I need to start accepting the well proven fact over centuries. THERE IS NOTHING CALLED LOVE. ITS JUST LUST

Workstation crash

Nikhil Dev | | 6:41 pm

This is getting more and more onto my nerves. How can thins happend so easily. My work computer had a virus attack and it just would not reboot. Tried everything. In vain. Right now running on an Ubuntu live cd. This is the best things that has happened to the computer world. Just waiting for some money to come through.  Will switch completely to a mac then.

Anyway, the day has been a boring one. Not that much excitement. The work at home is still and its still in a mess. I feel like getting asuitcase of clothes and just stay at the office till its all done. The journey from work to home is pissing off. Got a training in another hour. So will be making it late home.

Have nothing to do right now. Just connected my ipod in ubuntu and listening to some music. Amazingly it works well.

Something that should be avoided in Traktor

Nikhil Dev | June 15, 2008 | 12:58 am

The last saturday my Traktor started acting really weird. I thought it was cos I upgraded to the latest version but the issue was something else. The startup latency was really high, the decks would auto sync even though the sync button the Numark Total Control was off. Just a small glance at the ‘preferences’ section showed something that you should avoid.

Under the Transport section in the Deck Preferences, uncheck Synchro Start and select a smaller cache. This was the decks would not Sync automatically.

Just thought there might be others who might have the same issue.

I will surely get a macbook and Vestax VCI-100. Heard really good reviews about it. Lets hope god rains some more money.

Gunite as for now
