Weekend in thinking

Nikhil Dev | October 30, 2006 | 9:40 am

Things have at last got onto the softer side. I am keeping more calm than before and taking care of more of the household chores. Good to know that Mom is kinda happy with the way things are going now. The quest for own house has risen again. Talked to a lot of friends and most of the people have advised me to take a plot and build a house on that . In that way it would workout to be cheaper and better and totally worth the money. With the rising real estate prices. I think that will take some more time to decide on cos this is kinda big decision for us.

Social life is as usual boring, At last i have realized that I am kind of a borin person. Ask me to come up with a plan in 5 mins and I am all blank with nothing to think about. The max that I can think of is to check into a pub and have a few rounds of beer.

Music has been in the duller side these days. Not practising that much these days. Biggest restricting factor being the backing guitars and the drums, Sujith just does not want to refine is playing style and gives up easily. And we are trying to have Tillu in so forcibly whereas that guy is not even in the music. I teamed up with Nash the other day and got an oppurtunity to jam with some good musician. We might want to start something but we face the same thing again and that is the drummer. We now have Bassist in Raghu, a vocalist in Paul and Me and Nash on the guitars but the drums stuff is just not working. Hope that gets fixed soon as well.

Spirituality has taken a different direction. So badly not believing in the existence of God, I start feeling this strong controlling force on me that tell me regularly that what I am doing is not right and tries to take me in the right direction. I am now convinced that there is a force and that we name as God. The fact that I dont like is that we humans try to name in in different forms, have misconception about things and have forgotten the basics of humanity. Being a Hindu, I just do not like my religion because of all the stupid rituals that we follow, logically they are all so meaningless. Then why do we follow them. WE spend all those thousand of rupees donating to the temples. Why not donate them to organization like CRY or UNICEF that involve in the bettterment of childrem. There is a saying in Hinduism that says “Manava seva ne madhava seva”. It means that to serve fellow humans is equal to serving God. Now where is that when we want to donate. People are so afraid to change the way they think. Someone has to take responsibility and put end to it. It is a collective effort. Rise as one and everything is possible.

I know that this is a lotta philosophy, but I am surprised why people here in India think this way. I know that looking into history we have been through so many invasion, but now we are a free nation. We all together as one can make a really huge difference.

The Ultimate racing game

Nikhil Dev | October 27, 2006 | 6:04 pm

At last managed to get the NFS most wanted edition installed on my comp and I am just so addicted to that. Managed to stay on the road for most of the time. Thanks to the practise for the underground version. A must checkout thing for almost everyone. I am sure that it is going to be a really busy weekend.

Characteristics of a workoholic

Nikhil Dev | October 26, 2006 | 8:45 am

Over these three days I have discovered something in myself that I havent noticed all these years. I am a partial workoholic. I cannot stay even a day without work. I need to keep myself busy with something or the other. Let it be music, mailing, social networking or anything else. Tried to just while away the time but just could not do that. Way too restless for that. I know that in a way that is good but it makes my life really miserable on the weekends when I have nothing to do.

Passed at least 2 weeks without workout a single muscle. Need to get back to the regular Gymming schedule. Need to get into awesome shape in atleast 2 months. Back to the same old diet planning, high protein and vitamins diet.

Need to think about what are the steps thatĀ  I need to take next for a good career. Mom is asking almost everday to do something in management which would surely be helpful in any field that I take up. Need to give in some serious considerations on that.

Another hectic day ahead. But surely I am getting back to the regular schedule.

This city is cool

Nikhil Dev | October 20, 2006 | 9:29 am

Things run so normal in this city no matter what happens. My driver had fight with a guy the way to the office and in the very next hour everything seemed so normal as if nothing happened. Now that is what is the speciality of the city.Went to this movie called Don which is a remake of the old DON starringĀ  Amitab. Nowwhere was Sharukh close to the role. Point #1: He is not a man enough for any manly role. He is just one of those coochie boys good enough for all those love stories. Secondly, the horrible screenplay that I have ever seen, And Thirdly, I hate Sharukh Khan. The movie was not even worth the free ticket that I got. I think things are going the way I want them to now. My beliefs for God have changed again. Despite preaching all the stuff about the non existense of God, I have always felt this eternal source energy always telling me what is right and what is wrong. Something that governs you and rewards you when you are right. Things might just be back into normal. Lets see what is in store for me in the coming years.
