I love my work sometimes

Nikhil Dev | December 28, 2005 | 11:01 am

Yesterday I was working with one of these Javascripts to have a box to contain HTML content and also to hide and unhide it. The present blog section that you see now is all the work that I did yesterday night.

A dedication to the girl with beautiful whom I met last nite

Nikhil Dev | | 10:28 am

This is a dedication to this girl I met last night. This is a song by Willie Nelson

Angel eyes angel eyes
The ways of the world are feeble don’t give up on simple people
Angle eyes stun those nights
The blues you can live wthout it’s not what you song’s about
Angel eyes angel eyes
Tell me what would we’re doin’ without the light from angel eyes

You can move the hearts of men
Just with a phrase you’re turning since hearts ever have been yearning
Bear with us bear so alone
Thin lines you’ve been living on are so close to the danger zone
Angel eyes angel eyes
Tell me what would we’re doin’ without the light from angel eyes…

My thighs are aching real bad

Nikhil Dev | December 24, 2005 | 1:45 pm

God I will never have Siddharth train me untold again. My thighs are aching real bad after that lower workout today. Though I am used to a lot of athletic activity, could not take the weights and almost blacked out at the Gym. Anyway, everything is well except the thighs. The theme of today’s work on the website is having my code validated according to the W3C norms. With a lot of effort was able to get the XHTML code validate but I’ve always used these stupid CSS techniques for the styling that refuse to get validated. Care a damn about that. Jab tak kaam chalra, chalney dena. Khali peeli ungli karuunga to hai so bhi lag jaati.

Got to know of this webstandard called 508. Trying to search on Google what it means and trying to have my site cleared. Passing these standards is like those shiny stickers you would like to have on your favourite stuff. The more the merrier. While it gets validated writing this stupid thing called blog. Lemme check the result…. Hmmm… Got a lot of errors. And also for things that I have been using for years and things that have been taught in the best of the books. God knows which Chutiya writes these standards. My only concern is that my page gets displayed properly in IE as well as Firefox after a lot of pain. Mission accomplished.

  • A great extension to save money on online shopping
  • Firefox 3 Beta 4 proven to be the best of the lot browser
  • Hilariously funny
  • How to use Robots.txt
  • Once again, the same situation as the last year

What a heck of a week this was

Nikhil Dev | | 12:51 pm

I should admit that I was responsible to a certain extent in not making myself comfy at office. I know that things are pretty new to me. But I could have made things better for myself. Charu was right. Anyway, this guy Raj reminds of myself when I was with Dell. A pain in the ass to everyone. But we make a good team in the cab. I sometimes am surprised to think about all the crap that we talked today. Oooooooooohhhhhhh. Ramya must have got really pissed off that day. And today I get to stay awake as long as I want. Got a lotta work baby. Mainly working on this site. I really like doing this stuff man. Gives me a great deal of freedom to express myself through the media of the internet. Anyway, gotta get back onto the development now.

Been two real boring days

Nikhil Dev | December 22, 2005 | 3:47 pm

I am all set into the holiday mood. The mornings have been really very very gloomy. The weekend just passed up so fast. Bought a SATA HDD on saturday that refused to get detected in my machine. These computers stores people are such BASTARDS that they gave me a very good run around for good 4 hours. Felt like shoving the drive up their arse but cant cos I paid for it. Anyway, tuesday’s been the same as well as wednesday and so is today. This whole week is totally fucked up for me man. I guess god’s forgetting to change the date in his calendar or whatever. Can’t think of anything funnier. And here I am, totally bored having nothing to do but to write whatever comes to my mind. Honestly, I dont know why I am writing this crap too.

  • Very bad week
  • Some of the busiest days I have ever had.
  • Got my domain up and working
  • Lots of thinking
  • Some awesome pickup lines
